Democracy by Design is run by volunteers. Nobody is paid, and nothing here is sponsored — but the archive still has bills: storage for the photographs, the domain, the mail that reaches the curators.
If it is worth something to you, you can chip in. If it isn't, use it anyway — that is what it is for, and there is no part of this site behind a payment.

Payments go to Democracy by Design and are used for hosting, the domain and the archive's running costs. We cannot issue tax receipts — this is a volunteer project, not a registered charity, and we would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise.
Money is not the only way to help. Photographs are worth more to this archive than rupees are — if you were at a march, send what you shot. Telling somebody about it helps too, and so does reporting anything broken.
